Winner of the Creative Impulse Award 2008

The Creative Impulse Award is given in recognition of commitment, creativity and richness of ideas in five different categories. The best entries received their awards on 24 January 2008 at Paperworld: 


Creative product of the year

  • First Prize: Hahnemühle Fine Art of Dassel,
    Product: "Bamboo 265" and "Bamboo 290"
  • Second Prize: Angelika Wagener,
    Product: "Home Decor Transfers"
  • Third Prize: Honsell art products from Stuttgart,
    Product: "Jaxon - The Paint Training"


"Bamboo 265" and "Bamboo 290", winners of the First Prize, are mixed-media artist’s papers, made of 90% quickly renewable bamboo fibres and 10% cotton linter. Even when painting with water colours, this paper does not crimp.


Complete set of the year

  • First Prize: Hollmann Textil from Cham,
    Product: "Schleifenfix Summer Box"
  • Second Prize: Viva Decor GmbH from Bad Salzuflen,
    Product: "Pardo Jewellery Modelling Kit Création Céline"
  • Third Prize: Eberhard Faber from Neumarkt, Opf.,
    Product: " Fimo + Easy Metal Jewellery Kit"


The First Prize went to Hollmann Textil for its Schleifenfix complete set. Along with eight different tapes in natural summer colours, the set contains a base plate, four base rods, twelve clutch pencils and step-by-step instructions. All parts are made of natural raw materials.

  • First Prize: Frechverlag publishers from Stuttgart,
    Product: "The TOPP Do-It-Yourself Book” (TOPP-Bastelschule)
  • Second Prize: Christophorus Verlag Herder from Freiburg,
    Product: "Creative Workshop” (Kreativ Werkstatt)
  • Third Prize: Frechverlag publishers from Stuttgart,
    Product: "The Great Sock Workshop” (Der geniale Socken-Workshop)


The best creative book of the year - TOPP-Bastelschule by Frechverlag publishers - is suitable for both beginners and advanced students and contains all the main do-it-yourself techniques.


Marketing campaign of the year

  • First Prize: K.M.R. Kreativmarketing Romer from Weilheim,
    Marketing campaign: "Creative Day 2007” (Kreativtag '07)
  • Second Prize: Martin Thomas Art from Heilbronn,
    Marketing campaign: "Inside Out” (von Innen nach Außen)
  • Third Prize: Hahnemühle Fine Art,
    Marketing campaign: "Green Rooster - the Hahnemühle initiative for the environment"


In the category of “Marketing campaign of the year”, K.M.R. Kreativmarketing was awarded the First Prize for its “Kreativtag 2007.” A Creative Day was held in more than 200 local-authority districts last year. The aim of the campaign is to make the general public better aware of creative subjects. Along with 29 firms, 221 dealers and four media were partners in the event.

Creative mind of the year

  • First Prize: Marie-Luise Spang, studio director at Rayher Hobby GmbH from Laupheim
    With an inexhaustible intuition for new trends and an exceptional wealth of ideas, during her 28 years as studio director Marie Luise Spang’s work has been vital not just for the development of Rayer, but of the whole sector.
